Name: L'ney (Lawney)
Name Pronounced: Ell-knee
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Character Type: Weyrling
Rank: Apprentice Beastcrafter
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Current Location: Angel's Cove Weyr
Appearance: L'ney is tall (6') and lean. His skin is dark from his life in the sun and his dark green eyes hide beneath dark brown bangs that touch his cheeks. The rest of his hair is pulled into a loose bind that reaches the middle of his back. He wears comfortable clothing of dark, earthen colors, his shirt often left open at the front and his wherhide pants worn from hard work. His boots are soft-soled and nearly reach his knees. The only jewelry he wears is a snug band of black and white about his right wrist that he refuses to ever remove. He has the Clan's crest on his right forearm and sports a boot knife, a belt knife on his right side, and a dagger on his left as well as a bow and arrows when out and about.
Personality: L'ney is quick tempered and has very little patience except with critters, but what he lacks in emotional control, he makes up for in fighting skills. Quick on his feet and strong, he usually wins any fight he gets into. His greatest flaw is the stutter in his voice. When teased about it, he is quick to take offense, but can usually be stopped by his best friend who is possibly the only one smaller than him that could beat him in a fight. Temper aside, L'ney is normally cheery and very adventurous, often wandering off to discover new places and things. His stutter seems to disappear when he is angered or extremely pleased with himself.
History: Born in the Wilds of Angel's Cove Territory in early spring, Lawney was a happy, healthy child. It wasn't until he learned to speak that his stutter was noticed. Constantly teased about it resulted in a short control over his anger. The only one that never teased him about his speech couldn't speak and maybe because of that, the two became close friends. He was respected even more by others his age when Kersid (his best friend) began "dealing out justice" to those that teased Lawney.
At 12, he attended his first raid and afterwards, he was part of the rescue crew to save a fellow member of the clan. During the sevenday that followed, he was often helping as close to his friend as he could who was the member that they had to rescue and was thought to die at any moment due to an injury to his neck.
During the following turn, he was often at his best friend's side, having been one of the first to understand that the older lad needed to find another way to speak. And following such acts, it wasn't uncommon to see the two conversing silently while working on something or other.
At 14, he became an official scout for aiding in an ill-fated raid and helping to bring back most of their members and received the Clan's crest on his right forearm. Never shy with the ladies, he loves freely and is seldom heart broken when they leave him.
At 18, he and Kersid found a firelizard nest and returned to their Clan with their new pets. Several months later, when out and about exploring with Kersid, a dragon altered both of their plans by Searching them for the clutch at Angel's Cove Weyr.
So, it was upon the Sands, liking the idea of a dragonet of his own, that Lawney was the first to Impress out of the twenty eggs and Candidates. He happily walked off the Sands with bronze Starkith at his side and the new name of L'ney...

Dragon Information:
Dragon Name: Starkith
Dragon Color: Bronze
Dragon Age: Just Hatched
Flight Wing(this is chosen by the BoD):
Appearance: Starkith is of average size and build for his color, but his wings are a might bit wider. He's well proportioned otherwise. His hide is quite a dull bronze. So much that it appears brownish. Bright yellow gold specs litter his hide from nose to tail and wingtip to wingtip, making him sparkle with his movements.
Personality: Hatched from the Flirtation Egg, Starkith matches his shell well save for the coloring. Bronze dragons always have a lot of stamina and Starkith is a good example of why. This little bronze will be flirtatous and charming straight out of the shell and will come on to just about any gold or green he sees. Starkith doesn't take no for an answer when he wants a female dragon and will persue any interest he has until he gets her. The only problem is, once he catches the female of his persual and gains her attention, he gets bored and moves on to the next challenge. Once he's grown, Starkith will be a dragon that loves to chase after any female during a mating flight no matter if the rider is male or female, and regaurdless if the dragon's rider is already in a steady relationship. This will cause some serious problems for his lifemate if he isn't careful. Thankfully, as Starkith gets older he'll settle down quite a bit. Oh, he'll still chase the
ladies, but he'll leave weyrmated pairs alone and also take his lifemate's gender perferance into consideration before entering into a flight. Under all of his flirting, Starkith has a brilliant mind when he chooses to use it. This bronze tends to look outside the box for the answer to a situation and has a single-minded focus when his interest is caught by a subject. This bronze will also be a bit narcissitic, leading him to be very picky about his appearance. His lifemate better be prepared to wash and oil Starkith several times a day. After all, a bronze does have to look his best.
Abilites and Weaknesses: He will be able to fly long and acrobatically, making him quite the chaser in mating flights and more agile than most bronzes during threadfall. His flirting may be a bit of a downfall for him to make friends of other dragons.
