Appearance: Standing at 5'8" and weighing around 140 lbs, Z'vik has a slight build and loose-fitting clothes of earthen colors, his tunics usually sleeveless. He sports wrist guards on his forearms and shin high boots. His eyes are an intelligent deep, dark turquoise blue and stand out with his shiny black hair, usually seen in a wavy ponytail or half a braid that falls to his lower back, except for the braid of runner hairs behind his right ear which is often loose to fall where it wishes. He has scars across his back from his left shoulder to his right side, a scar across the back of his right hand, and two scars that run from his outer right thigh to his inner right ankle.
Personality: A jokester - smiles often - very sly -excels in any form of combat - very athletic - takes offense when someone talks ill of runners, his firelizard, his dragon, or his runner - voices his opinion, especially when he shouldn't - loves creatures of all kinds.
History: Born to Zakel (a ship drudge) and Veekila (a stable drudge) at Coastakia Hold in late summer, Zakvik had been a blessing to them. He had been, and would be, the only surviving offspring of the older couple. He learned the use of a few coastal herbs that would be helpful for wounds caused by normal life. He also had a gift with runners and could ride the best of them by his 7th turn. In early summer of his 8th turn, he lost both his parents to a stable fire and barely survived himself. A seaman, called Raff, took the young lad under his care and taught Zakvik the ways of the waters (giving him unequaled balance at such a young age) and how to fish successfully for the best seafoods. In his 12th turn, he and Raff were aboard The Wanderer when a seastorm struck with the worst fury imagined. The Wanderer broke to bits amid crashing waves and man and boy were separated in the turmoil. Somehow, Zakvik made it back to shore near a coastal hold.
Less than two sevendays passed when Zakvik wandered into the hold and tried to work for food and keep. Finding work for food and keep was unsuccessful, so he turned to stealing to stay alive. In the spring of his 13th turn, he stole a runner from the hold's stables (naming him Fleet) and left the hold, teaching himself how to hunt to survive and finding a trade train to join a moon later.
In his 14th turn, while wandering across a vast area of plains, a wildcat pride attacked the small train. Most were scored by the starving wildcats, and few escaped to a wooded area. Zakvik had gained a two-clawed wound from his outer right thigh, across his knee, and to the inner side of his ankle, losing most mobility in his knee for quite some time. Most of the others that had escaped with him slowly perished due to worse wounds than his. Determined to live on, Zakvik had the luck of catching Fleet again and wandered toward another hold, soon finding another trade train to join. Less than half a turn later, he had an argument with another teen of the trade train, resulting in a knife fight that nearly caused the other teen's death and he lost most of his hearing in his right ear from a hard blow to his head.
He survived another turn, stealing off holders and other traders, and in the company of Fleet and a green fire lizard (Zyver) that he had impressed in the wild. In his 15th turn, he was caught by a lesser hold while stealing supplies and punished by several lashings across his back and left to die with only his lizard for company. Fleet escaped his 'new' master and wandered about the Wilds near the hold until Zakvik found him again. A half turn later, the teen wandered into Southern Weyr barely astride Fleet and was aided by the weyrfolk. In his 16th turn, he witnessed a Hatching and his curiosity caused him to accidentally Impressed a small blue, binding him to Weyrlife. The next day, he took on the name Z'vik. As his training progressed, his wild nature tamed down and he became more carefree, but he still used his skills to get on others' nerves and to play tricks on other Weyrfolk.
In his 20th turn, he found that he was disliked greatly by many of the others and requested a transfer to Angel's Cove Weyr in hopes of making a new start and to help re-populate the Weyr. His transfer was granted and he transferred to Angel's Cove Weyr.

Personality: Shinnies! Enough said. When she's not pestering someone or thing for a shiny, she's often flitting about near her pet and his dragon or off chasing down other creatures in hopes of play.

Appearance: Small, but very fast and agile. A dark sorrel in color with an odd shaped white star on his forehead.
Personality: Very loyal to Z'vik and willing to do anything for him. When it comes to other handlers, he's not so willing. He's settled down somewhat with age in allowing others to control him, but he still fusses stubbornly.

Personality: He's quite playful, but loves compliments from his appearance to his intelligence, often using 'big' words for a dragon. But he's young yet. Energetic and nosey, he would be good at Searches but has yet to give that area a chance.
