Appearance: Tall and lean, Shii has developed a permenant tan from living her life in the sunning south. She stands about 5'6 and has shimmering black hair and deep honey brown eyes. Shii is very athletic and very nimble. Her hair is always pulled back into a bun unless she's attending a gather. Her brown eyes tilt upwards slightly and she's very oriental in appearance. Shii is more often than not seen in clay, paint or plaster covered cloths since she's always working on something. Shii also has a small dagger she bought at a gather just after she walked the tables to become a journeyman.

Personality: Feiry and passonite, Shii is one of those people who refuses to take anything from anybody. She's quick-witted and has a sharp tongue when she gets into arguements with others. Shii is direct in her manners and won't hold back when she has something to say. Despite her temper, Shii has a gentle side as she's an artist of a sort. She loves to paint and sculp and has even learned to make unique baskets from a Weaver friend. Shii also gets very cranky when she'd interupted while she's painting and has told off more than one person for just that. Her sense of humor is also a bit off, and tends to rub some people the wrong way.

History: Shii was born in Half Circle Sea Hold; the youngest of three children. When she was three turns old, her older sister Keita was taken as an apprentice for the Dolphineer crafter and two years later, the family watched as she met her dolphin partner Kit. Four years after that, on Shii's ninth Naming-Day, her other sister Moeane was chosen on Search for a clutch at Benden Weyr, and soon Impressed to a beautiful green dragon named Duth. When Shii turned ten, her father bought her a firelizard egg from a visiting trader and a small blue she named Ven hatched from it. With the little flitt as her inseperable companion, Shii went off on many adventures. As she grew, she developed a love of art, and also a love of dragons. Starting with sketches of her beloved firelizard, Shii began teaching herself how to draw and soon was noticed by a Master Artist from Benden Hold and taken in as an Apprentice. She walked the tables and became a Journeyman six years later. Not a month after she'd become a Journeyman a Searchrider from Benden Weyr came to the hold to find candidites for a hatching at the weyr. Shii, along with several others, was chosen during the Search and then travelled to Benden Weyr as a Cadidite. The Hatching occured three days after her arrival and much to her awed suprise and utter delight, Shii Impressed. A feisty golden hatchling named Shuteth had chosen her as a lifemate, and in the process also made her Benden's third goldrider. Not too long after they'd Impressed, Shuteth revealed a rather suprising ability to her rider. During one of the green's many baths, Shuteth came up with a song that Shii later named "Shu's Bath Song".

Time passed, and Shuteth grew and grew, soon becoming Benden's largest queen. At just under a year old, Shuteth took to the skies and was the first in her weyrling class to do so. During this time, Benden Weyr was becoming heavily overcrowed and desperate actions were needed. Fortuately for them, Shii inadvertantly discovered a solution.

One day, during a regular sweep, the young goldrider was passing over a strip of coastline northeast from Benden Hold when something below her caught her attention. The goldrider landed, and upon investigation, found an entrance to a cave that led upwards and outwards into a vast system of tunnels and ledges. Realizing the importance of her discovery and what it would mean for the weyr, Shii then returned to Benden and told the Weyrleaders what she'd found. A small group of about ten riders, Shii herself included, were sent to explore the cave. What they found was a huge empty space and what appeared to be a fully made, if long abandoned, old Weyr. It didn't take long for the group to decide they liked the place and soon they officially asked to colonize the Weyr. With the approval of Benden Weyr, the new Weyr was founded. It's new Weyrwoman was Shii, and the Weyrleader would be whoever flew her gold Shuteth once she rose. The new weyr was named Angel's Cove Weyr. The weyr's name came about because it was a small white firelizard named Angel that led its discovery, (the flitt coincidently belonging to a resident of Half Circle Hold) and also because the main area that Shii herself originally discovered opened up into a vast cove that overlooked the sea.

For the first few years of its existance, everything ran smoothly in Angel's Cove. Time passed, three years to be exact, and the time came for Shuteth to rise to mate and thus grant the weyr its first Weyrleader. Unforturately for the weyr at large, things didn't happen that way. Instead, a viscious epidimic hit the weyr hard and over the next few weeks killed ninety percent of the weyr population; most of those dragonriders. Shii herself became sick and Shuteth never rose to mate. Thankfully, the young queenrider survived the ordeal and was then faced with the monumental task of rebuilding Angel's Cove. Two years later, Shii was back to full strength and opened Angel's Cove's doors to newcomers. With new people coming to the weyr in droves and Shuteth due to rise soon, Shii was stuck in an almost constant state of caution. Only time would tell what would come for the young Weyrwoman and her beloved home.

Appearance: Ven is a small and dainty little blue. His hide is a deep shade of sapphire and he has lighter shades of sky blue on his underside. Ven also has a pale turquoise strip across his multi-faceted eyes.

Personality: Ven is sweet and gentle, an appropriate counterpart to his more tempermental pet. He loves people;especially children and prefers their company to that of other flits. Ven has been Shii's companion for eight years and is the only living being capable of controlling her volitile temper.

Appearance: A shining, glimmering gold with bronze and brown highlights along her flanks, and a patch of green-black along her spine. Large for a gold and an impressive wingspan.

Personality: Protective and visciously possesive of her rider, Shuteth is a truely tempermental creature. Despite this, Shuteth is infinitely gentle with young children as well as her rider Shii. She's fiercely loyal to Shii and her rider's blue firelizard. Her often over opinionated personality gets her into worlds of trouble with older riders. Shuteth has no respect for any authority but her own and little interest in most other dragons. Shuteth also enjoys swimming with her rider in their free time and often engages in splash wars with Shii in the process.

Abilites and Weaknesses: Shuteth is a focused threat-fighter, except when she's getting ready to rise to mate. She gets along well in a wing, that is unless she's paired with dragons she doesn't like. Because of this, Shii spends most of her time apologizing to other riders when Shuteth does something to insult another dragon. She's very single-minded about things she wants to do, but tends to get distracted easily. She's also extremely stubborn and often set in her ways; which usually makes her hard for Shii to handle. Shuteth is extremely modest around males unless she's about to rise, but she's also moody. She has a temper, but never takes it out on her rider. Shuteth has a compassionete streak a mile wide but doesn't usually use it the way she should.

Shuteth also has the strange habit of singing to herself when she's really happy. Often times, this leads to a suprised Shii and much love and affection for Shuteth. Shuteth's "bath song" came about in such a way.
