Month 4:
The Dining Hall had been decked out in a variety of decorations in
preparation of the arrival of the newly Impressed Weyrlings. Shii
herself sat at the head table reserved for her and watched as each of
the young people began to enter. She'd met only a few of them before
the hatching and thought that it was a wide variety of people that
now lived at her home. Things were so different than they used to be
and the Weyrwoman found herself thankful for the change. She herself
couldn't wait to eat since she hadn't gotten the chance before the
hatching. Unfortunetely, she had to be polite and wait for the
weyrlings to arrive so they could eat.
Marna was the first to arrive and tiredly sat down in the first seat
she could find. The young woman couldn't believe how the day had
turned out and loved every moment of it since meeting Walweth.
Thankfully, the hyper little blue was sleeping now so she had the
chance to eat herself and to congradulate her friends on their own
Impresions.
S'et was next to enter and offered the room at large a smile. He was
still getting used to the shortened form of his name that Realerth
had given him but found that he really didn't mind it. The paranoid
blue that had bonded to him had eaten to much and was now sleeping it
off which gave S'et the chance to escape their weyr and eat himself.
Shii<>Marna<>S'et
V'nel walked up behind Shii. He gently wrapped his arms around her shoulders. "Long night, love?" he asked softly, before sitting down beside her. Even though it had been long and he was tired he couldn't have asked for a better day.
J'dan, C'lin, and K'ryn walked in at about the same time. K'ryn looked the most tired out of all of them. Optith had wanted to stay away to make sure his siblings were okay. J'dan was use to odd hours and C'lin was still too wound up to think about think.
Kiyoni and Laliy on the other hand were dragging as much as K'ryn. Both girls just wanted to go to sleep, but they knew they couldn't. Plus, they wanted to talk to everyone before even thinking about bed.
V'nel<>J'dan<>C'lin<>K'ryn<>Kiyoni<>Laliy
Niradene was tired, it was more of a happy tired it hadn't taken that long to get cameith to fall asleep she looked around for a place to sit someone she knew hopefully and spotted Lawney she vaguley remebered he had impressed. "Hey mind if i join you?" she asked
Sherly on the other had had trouble getting Reedith to stop talking and question everything they were doing but finally he settled into sleep, so she made her way in fiding an empty seat she said to someone she didn't know "Phew that took forever mind if i join you?"
Niradene<>Sherly
K'ryn barely nodded at Sherly, but managed a smile. "Please, sit down," he answered as Bandit cheeped a greeting to the new weyrling. "Did you have trouble getting your dragonet to sleep too?"
K'ryn
***
Velina sighed softly as she stroked her fingers over Manxith's glistening hide. The beautiful green had been very patient with her, even as she'd fumbled to feed her. Cleaning the young dragonet had been much easier and the female had crooned and thrummed the entire time as she asked her questions about everything though even Velina had a hard time talking about her past with her Lifemate. Manxith had seemed to understand, having felt the sorrow that filled her, but only for a moment. Now the beautiful creature was fast asleep and Velina could attend the feast. As she walked into the hall she let out a breath, this was her new beginning, her time of hiding in the shadows and sorrows of ehr past was over, her Lifemate depended on her and she would do everything in her power to making everything woke out for the better.
***
Oryen and Yinmin sung softly as Tohanath slept at his side. He truly had no desire to attend the feast, he had his Lifemate and there was nothing else in the world her wished to do but be at her side forever and always. Yinmin appeared to be taking to the dragonet well having nuzzled her and curled up against her as she fell asleep, now both lay curled up and sound asleep. With a final sighed Oryen rose and quietly left his two treasures to dream, making his way to the hall, a skip in his step and a smile on his lips.
***
Angeeal smiled as he looked about the hall, noticing the entering weyrlings , his eyes casting about for one imparticular, Kanlar. Angeeal had been at the Hatching and was thrilled to see the young man had Impressed, unforunately he hadn't had a chance then to congradulate him and had instead planned to do it at the feast.
Velina<>O'rn<>Angeeal
---
L'bell followed the new weyrlings into the Dining Hall, smiling warmly
at each of them. His eyes were still a little red from the Hatching;
he hadn't realized he'd been crying until near the end of the event.
But that was usually how Hatchings were.
It had been a more emotional Hatching than usual, though, it being
Shuteth's and Angel's Cove's first. And that green who had nearly not
hatched. L'bell had been able to feel Fallanth's distress, and even
more so when it seemed gold Lulith would not Impress.
But all had turned out well, so L'bell tried to banish worry from his
mind for now. It had been a good first clutch, and the Weyr seemed to
be getting to fighting strength. Riding on the emotional high of the
Hatching, he even found himself enjoying the atmosphere despite his
usual shyness, and his newness to the Weyr. Good food,
wine, and company would be a welcome change.
L'bell
Sherly smiled and said "Thank you." staking a seat she nodded with a tired smile "yeah forever and a day he would not stop asking questions to everything like why he had to sleep now, why he couldn't come why was the dragon next to him a different color." she said she felt exhausted Reedith had just picked her mind clean and yet he still hadn't been satisfied. "My name's sherly by the way I impressed blue Reedith." she said
Sherly
"Welcome," K'ryn said with a yawn. He winced when Sherly said her blue kept asking questions. "That had to have been trying. Thankfully Optith wasn't asking questions, but he wouldn't go to sleep until all the other dragonets had." K'ryn sighed. That was going to take some getting use to. "I'm K'ryn. I Impressed bronze Optith. It's a pleasure to meet you Sherly."
K'ryn
--**--
L'ney was still cheery and still, surprisingly, not stuttering, Sky perched contentedly on his shoulder watching the goings ons. He hardly looked tired even though Starkith had raked his mind of questions and attempted flirting with the greens and even the gold of his clutch. He grinned at Niradene and scooted over a bit. "Yeah. Have a seat," he told her cheerily.
---
Beside his best friend, K'sid sat quietly, watching everything around him, a contented expression on his face, River nestled in his lap, fast asleep. Not only had he Impressed a rather grumpy blue, but he had Impressed and the dragonet's name was simple enough that he could actually say it without hurting much. It made all the difference.
---
T'raren and G'tee came in together, both purely happy and such a height difference between the two brothers, their three firelizards flitting about above them until they found seats. G'tee looked a bit tired and T'raren appeared exhausted. He hadn't expected to walk off those Sands with a bronze in tow, but he had and he couldn't be happier. Just the fact that he had Impressed made it so much more pleasing. He smiled in thought, then pointed out a table to his younger brother and they headed for it. Already a couple other newly Impressed sat there and they both offered them all a smile. "These seats taken?" T'raren asked politely.
---
M'kan, Tia'ar, and K'lar had entered together as a few of the first wave of tired Weyrlings had entered and so were already seated and talking amongst themselves about their lifemates. K'lar noted Angeeal's appearance and stood up to wave to the lad he'd first met on the road to the Weyr. "Angeeal! Come sit with us!" he called. Despite Zyurth's demanding attention, he still looked wide awake, though when it came time for the pillow later, that's all he'll see.
---
Rayra came in with Gunteera, Klah quietly napping in his new bed on the opposite side of his master's cot as the young green. She'd made friends in her brief time in the Candidate program at Angel's Cove with the other girl and was thankful that she at least knew someone at the start of her training with her darling Dawnuth. SHe just couldn't believe that she'd finally Impressed and a green no less. Now she could most certainly follow her mother's lead in nearly everything. The little green had required a good bit of coaxing and explanation with how timid she was.
---
Gunteera was happy, if not somewhat tired. She'd helped her father numerous times with Flinth, but the huge brown wasn't constantly in her head like Lulith was. She briefly looked for her father, but had spotted her brothers first and so headed for them since their table still had some available seats to it.
---
Z'dan and Z'vik had been among the first to arrive and watched as the young ones entered, each smiling at the other when one looked quite chipper, playfully betting on how soon that particular one would give up and head for bed after eating, their firelizards perched on their shoulders and watching everything with interest.
---
V'zee sat quietly, Vikki in his lap, napping until his Pet would get up to go get some food. The bronzerider was happy for the successful Hatching and watched the youngsters as they arrived from the quiet of his table, one of the furthest toward the wall. He never did like much behind him and so sat with his back toward the wall.
---
At that same table, E'than sat, Ever quietly laying under his chair, also with his back toward the wall, watching the others come in and find their seats.
---
G'naren waited patiently with an excited Jaygun on his lap, both waiting for their relations to find seats. Afterwhich, the brownrider could go and congratulate his children and the rest of the youngsters.
---
Annalyra waited until the last of the Weyrlings had started for the Dining Hall before she followed along, happy at the outcomes of everything. She would have her hands full, no doubt, but she was glad for the change in duties for a spell.
---
Caleke and Revee sat together among other Weyr residents, waiting for their other two siblings to arrive, but knew that it wouldn't be so with Sanrev. He was standing at the entrance, big Sanrek close by with Neek on his back, watching for anything out of sorts to happen. They would probably stay for the meal, then retire to their evening/nightly duties directly afterward.
---
Caleeka arrived with Annalyra, sharing bits of information with her about the Candidates, now Weyrlings to help her better understand them...
weyrlings<>Others
Sherly nodded and said "it was trust me, i had to make up some answers just to statisfy him.Pleased to meet you to K'ryn." she said it would take her a while to get used to Reedith's iniftie amount of questions
***
Niradene sat down and said "Thanks, so Lawney what is you name elided to?" she was curious even though she was somewhat tired, cameith just didn't want her to leave.
Sherly<>Niradene
Shii leaned backwards into the man behind her. "Yeah, it's been a really
long day. Did Kyrith go to sleep up with Shuteth? The poor darling
couldn't stay awake after the last of her hatchlings left. I feel bad
for leaving her but I REALLY needed something to eat."
Marna looked up as others began to enter. She even recongized quite a
few of them. "Laliy! Hey over here! Congradulations! "
S'et too spotted those he knew. "Hey everyone, congradulations! "
Shii<>Marna<>S'et
***
V'nel smiled down at his mate and Weyrwoman. "Yes, he did. I don't think he'll be leaving her for a while." He chuckled a little. "Well, then, dear Weyrwoman, allow me to get you some food while the weyrlings get situated."
Laliy smiled at her friend and motioned Kiyoni to follow her. "Hi Marna!" she said happily, waking up a little. "Congratulations to you too!"
Joss walked up behind Z'vik and Z'dan. "Placing bets again?" she teased, sitting down beside the riders. The Hatching had been great.
C'lin nodded at G'tee and T'raren. "Have a seat," the boy answered cheerily, moving down to make room for the brothers. J'dan smiled at them as well.
K'rei walked in and waved at Revee who he had met before. He had liked the wherhandler and his wher Veela. Rylin cheeped as well. The brown rider tried to decided where he wanted to sit.
V'nel<>Laliy<>Kiyoni<>C'lin<>K'rei<>J'dan
K'ryn smiled sympathetically at Sherly. "I imagine you probably had a hard time making up answers too. Thankfully they don't want elaborate answers yet. I hope they grow out of that." The boy yawned again. "And I also hope Optith realizes he doesn't have to stay awake until everyone else is asleep."
K'ryn
--**--
L'ney grinned and nodded a welcome, eyes bright. "Starkith calls me L'ney," he said, hoping that was the answer she was looking for. Elided was a word he didn't understand yet. "What's yer green's name?" he added.
---
Z'vik and Z'dan both turned toward the voice, Z'dan a bit quicker and tensed. Realizing that it was only Joss, he relaxed again and a grin graced his expression once more.
Z'vik looked offended, but it was easily told as an act. "Wha? Us? No way! We wouldn't bet!" He chuckled, then let Joss in on their betting, "We're only tryin' to guess how long each newly Impressed is gonna last after dinner."
---
T'raren smiled, said, "Thanks," then sat down, Dragon and Search landing on his shoulders now that he had stopped. G'tee grinned at the others and sat down, too. "So, what's your guys' rider names?" he asked as Mischief settled down on the table top.
---
Revee grinned and returned a wave to the brownrider. "Come sit with us!" he invited cheerily.
L'ney<>Z'vik<>Z'dan<>T'raren><G'tee<>Revee
"L'ney, it works for you...hey your not stuterring! Her name is cameith." she said
Niradene
***
Joss chuckled as she sat down. "I don't think any of them will last real long. I know when I Impressed I just wanted to go to bed. I was so exhausted."
---
"C'lin now," C'lin answered. "It's gonna take some getting up to. But it'll be worth it for Seerowth. How bout you two?"
"I'm J'dan now," the young Trader boy answered as Trig hopped up on his shoulder to make more room.
----
K'rei smiled and wove through the crowd. He soon reached the table and sat down with Revee. "Thanks," he said.
Joss<>C'lin<>J'dan<>K'rei
--**--
Both riders grinned. "Actually, that one there. Impressed a blue. An' the one next to him, a bronze," Z'dan said, pointing out K'sid and L'ney. They look the sort that run well on lack of sleep or energy. Wonder what they was afore they come here," he mused more so to himself than anything.
"That table over there looks like they'll all manage through the meal, then that'll be it," Z'vik said with a chuckle, indicating a table of lads: C'lin, J'dan, G'tee, T'raren...
-*-
G'tee grinned. "I'm G'tee, now of Irohidth," he said brightly.
T'raren smiled. "T'raren. Eteinth picked me. It's about time I finally Impress," he answered, still happy yet tired that he had finally done the one thing he'd always wanted to do.
-*-
"You're welcome! By the way, K'rei, this is my brother Caleke that I'd been telling you about," the redhead said in introduction of his younger brother.
"Hi," Caleke said with a cheery smile.
-*-
K'sid glanced over at the greenrider at the mention of his friend's speech problem, ready to give her a warning about it. He'd noticed L'ney's lack of a stutter since the Hatching and had enjoyed listening to the difference, knowing that by morning, it would return. But if he were to come down off his happy high, he'd start stuttering right quickly.
L'ney grinned at Niradene. Nothing was bringing him down tonight. Nothing. Not even the mention of his...problem. He shook his head, sill cheery. "I'm too happy ta stutter," he returned, not seeming the least bit offended as he would usually. "'At's a perty name," he said about Cameith. "Jus' like yers."

"hey that's a good thing, it's alays good to happy espcially knowing we found our lifemates or well they found us really." she said she wasn't making fun of him she'd never do that. "It is and your Starkith sounds a strong name like yours." she said then blushed "Thanks." she said
Niradene
***
Joss followed Z'dan and Z'vik's indication. She studied the boys for a moment. "I do believe you're right. But what about the girls? Will they last or do you think they'll fall asleep?"
***
C'lin and J'dan were beaming. "Can you believe we Impressed?" C'lin asked. "And now we get to learn even more!" The boy was thrilled at the thought of learning new things. "Oh, brown Seerowth chose me," he said.
J'dan rolled his eyes. "Well, I can see someone's happy," he teased. "And brown Claudith is my lifemate," he added.
***
K'rei smiled at Caleke. "Pleasure to meet you Caleke," he said.
K'rei<>J'dan<>C'lin<>Joss
--**--
L'ney grinned at Niradene's words as well as her blush. "Yer welcome," he answered her cheerily.
--*--
Z'dan and Z'vik both studied the girls that had Impressed. "Mm. Our young gold Impressed prob'ly won't last long. I'm sure Niradene'll crash soon after she eats. Runners require a little less mental energy than dragons. Uhh, that one looks like she might make it a short while," Z'dan said, pointing out the girls, the last one being Marna.
"The one that Impressed a blue aught to last a short while," Z'vik added.
-*-
G'tee and T'raren both laughed at J'dan's teasing of C'lin, both knowing that they're classmate liked learning about anything.
-*-
Caleke smiled. "Pleasure's mine and Revee was telling me you liked the whers. Most people see them as weird dragons and usually don't want anything to do with them," he replied to the greeting.
L'ney<>Z'dan<>Z'vik<>G'tee<>T'raren><Caleke
----
Joss considered their observations. "I'd say you're correct on the gold rider. I'm sure the high of everything will start wearing off." She studied the other girls. "I'm not even sure those two will make it through dinner," she commented, pointing to Laliy and Kiyoni.
-----
C'lin just grinned at his friend's teasing. "I can't help it that I like to learn," he said. "I've always been that way."
----
The brown rider nodded. "Yeah, I do. They're very interesting and they all have such different personalities. I was told to make sure not to bother Calbolt when he's on his own unless I know where the healer is." K'rei smiled at Caleke and Revee.
Joss<>C'lini<>K'rei
--**--
Both riders nodded in agreement to Joss's observation.
--*--
"That's not a bad thing," T'raren said with a smile. He sometimes wished that he could play something other than the guitar, but he hadn't pursued such and now there was no way he'd be able to for quite a while to come.
--*--
Caleke smiled. "Usually if Calbolt's by himself it's because I'm too sick to walk myself to a Healer or that I need something for a wher from a Healer that I can't take the moment to go and get. He's very useful."
Z'dan<>Z'vik<>T'raren<>Caleke
"so what's Starkith like is he anything like you? Cameith seems alot like me." she said
Niradene
Shii smiled up at V'nel and nodded. "Yes, I think it's safe to start.
Alright then." The Weyrwoman rose and raised both hands for attention
and waited until silence desended on the Dining Hall before speaking.
"First I'd like to thank everyone that helped make this hatching run so
smoothly. I'd also like to congradulate all of you that Impressed today
and wish you luck in your new lives as dragonriders. Annalyra and
Keistra are both good people and will help you a lot on your journey to
become full riders and members of this weyr. That said, I and V'nel both
wish you all luck. Everyone eat, drink, and enjoy yourselves. This is
all for you." Shii sat back down with V'nel then and flashed him a
bright smile. "You want to say anything?"
Keistra entered the hall a bit later than everyone else, she'd been
helping get things ready for the weyrlings in their new weyrs.
Immeidately she spotted K'rei and flashed him a tired smile before
moving to sit with him. "K'rei, mind if I join you?"
Marna smiled as Laliy spotted her and settled more comfortably into her
chair while listening to the Weyrwoman speak. The woman seemed nice, she
thought. Once she'd finished, she grinned brightly at Laliy and the girl
with her. "Hey there, both of you. Mind if I ask what your dragon's
names are? Mine is blue Walweth. He's a chatterbox." She smiled at
Kiyoni. "I don't think we've been introduced. I'm Marna."
Shii<>Marna<>Keistra
***
Joss looked up when Shii started talking. It was obvious that everyone was happy.
***
V'nel shook his head. "I think you covered it pretty well, love," he smiled, kissing her cheek. "Now, I'll go find us some food and drink before we go and meet the new weyrlings."
***
C'lin grinned. "Thanks, T'raren. Glad to know not everyone thinks I'm strange because I like to learn." He shot J'dan a look.
J'dan grinned and raised his hands. "I surrender."
***
Laliy smiled. "He sounds adorable, Marna. Mine is green Hebertinth. She's actually got an attitide. I'm not sure how that will go."
"I'm Kiyoni," the other girl answered. "And I Impressed green Elliwodth. She's a charater and seems to care about her looks a lot."
***
K'rei nodded. "That is very helpful." He looked up when he heard Keistra. "Hi, Keistra," he smiled, moving down. "Please, have a seat. This is Revee and his brother Caleke. We were talking about their whers."
Joss<>C'lin<>J'dan><Laliy<>Kiyoni<>K'rei><V'nel

The former Raider grinned and nodded. "Yeah, a lot. An' all he thinks 'bout is the ladies an' how he looks for 'em," he said with a chuckle.
L'ney
--**--
Z'dan and Z'vik hushed when Shii started speaking and listened closely with a smile. Once she'd finished, they went back to their playful betting game they'd had going on while waiting to allow the newly Impressed to get their foodstuffs first.
-*-
T'raren smiled. "You're welcome," he answered before listening to Shii speak. Once she dismissed them for food, he and his brother got up, G'tee grinning at the others. "C'mon. I know I'm starving!"
-*-
Caleke and Revee both looked at the greenrider with a smile. "Good evening, Keistra," Caleke said cheerily.
-*-
Gunteera and Rayra quieted quickly at Shii's 'call' for quiet so she could speak. The two girls listened quietly, then as they were released to eat, both were soon up and joining others to get some food. They were certainly hungry after everything since the Hatching.
-*-
The three GlassSmith brothers all listened as the Weyrwoman spoke, then as they were released to eat, all three were headed for the food tables, all quite hungry after their Impressions.
-*-
K'sid was the first up to head for food at the table he sat at, L'ney shortly following, picking up his conversation with Niradene again after Shii's speech.
Z'dan><Z'vik><Caleke<>Revee<>weyrlings
Niradene went immediatly quiet as the weyrwoman spoke as soon as the woman relased them she waited patiently got her food and return to continue talking with L'ney he was the only one she knew and felt comfortable with so far.
Sherly quieted and watched with a tired look then she too waited herself with a big yawn, she got her food and resumed talking to her fellow weyrling.
Niradene<>Sherly
Niradene laughed and said "Really you worry about how you look in front of us adies?" she teased it was strange for her to do so but he made her feel comfortable "Cameith is so quiet she's like me tends to hide in the background but yet desires friendship." she said
Niradene
****
Joss chuckled as she listened to Z'vik and Z'dan start up again. She watched the weyrlings getting their meals, knowing some of them wouldn't last past the meal.
***
"Right behind you!" C'lin and J'dan said in unison. They may have been tired, but they definitely weren't ready to give in yet. They followed G'tee and T'raren up to get food.
***
Laliy and Kiyoni quietly got up with Marna. Neither girl were really in the mood to move much. they were both pretty tired.
***
K'ryn was almost asleep at his seat. He didn't even hear Shii say they were allowed to get food. the only thing he cared about was sleeping.
Joss<>C'lin<>J'dan><Laliy<>Kiyoni<>K'ryn
L'ney looked slightly offended at those words, but covered it up well and quieted as the Weyrwoman spoke. Then as he waited to get food, he finished answering Niradene, back to his cheeriness again. "Doubtful I worry 'bout 'ow I look," he said. "An' 'e likes gettin' 'is nose in others bus'ness."

G'tee and T'raren both laughed, knowing they were going to have fun hanging around with these two.
G'tee<>T'raren
Her stomach growled loudly at all the smells and she
gave the people who noticed the sould a smile and a shrug. It had been a
busy day for all of them.
Marna smiled faintly. "He is adorable, I just wonder how different it's
going to be since I'm a girl that Impressed a blue. Isn't that supposed
to be really rare? I've never heard of it happening before now." She
looked from one girl to the other. "I remember both of your greens
hatching, didn't Elliwodth almost not hatch? You're very lucky she got
helped out of the egg."
Keistra smiled at both the brownrider and the two wherhandlers before
sitting down with her plate. "Thanks, and it's nice to meet both of you
Revee, Caleke. I've heard a lot about those whers of yours. They're the
newer Crique breed aren't they?"
Shii<>Marna<>Keistra
"didn't mean to offend you L'ney, well you look fine to me." she said she got her own food she felt a bit of embaressment creeping up on her but she fought it back, he was the only person who she'd met besides Z'dan and she did want to lose that.
Niradene
V'nel soon returned with food for both of them. He sat a plate in front of Shii before sitting down himself. "Food is served," he smiled through a yawn.
***
J'dan and C'lin quickly got in line behind G'tee and T'raren. They weren't about to miss out on food.
***
Laliy shrugged a little. "I've never heard of it, but It must be okay. Otherwise you wouldn't have Impressed a blue."
Kiyoni cringed a little. "Yes, you're right. Thankfully Elliwodth did hatch though."
***
K'ryn had fallen asleep at his seat. Bandit sat beside his friend, not sure how to wake him up or if he even should.
V'nel<>J'dan<>C'lin<>Kiyoni<>Laliy<>K'ryn
L'ney smiled in forgiveness. "It's okay." He grinned at her compliment, but refrained from starting up flirting, having remembered something about relationships during his classes before Starkith. "Thanks. Yer perty, too," he said.
L'ney
--**--
Caleke smiled at the compliment, but his brother was the one to start off on the whers. Afterall, he was the breeder. "Yup! They're so much nicer than the original whers. Not so randomly mean and all. We're still working at getting them to be a little less aggressive if their Handlers are threatened. But other than that, I'd say they're 100 times better."
Caleke
***
K'rei chuckled as he listened. He knew it was easy to get Revee going when it came to the whers.

V'zee smiled at seeing the sleeping Weyrling and figured he could do something about it. As he got up, pausing a moment to make certain his leg would hold his weight, he gave E'than a smile and then started toward the table that K'ryn sat at. Vikki flitted ahead, landing on the table top in front of the lad with a cheep of curiosity, then nosed at the firelizard next to him.

Bandit cheeped at Vikki, then looked back at K'ryn. The boy was still sleeping. He hadn't even heard V'zee sit down at the table.
K'ryn<>Bandit
Niradene smiled in relief she had a small blush at the compliment but remembered she had to be careful Cameith was just newly hatched. "Thanks, so L'ney who else do you know?" she asked curiously
Niradene
"Jus' you an' 'Sid an' Z'dan an' Joss. Not too many others more 'an jus' names," the tall teen answered cheerily. It was Joss that had found him and his best friend and had brought them here to Stand for a clutch. And he was glad he'd done so, because now he could fly on his own dragon's wings.
L'ney

V'zee had sat down across from K'ryn since that seat had been vacated for the moment and reached across the table to gently shake the lad's arm. "'Ey young bronzerider. Cain' sleep there," he said in his usual, calm tone.

K'ryn woke with a start at V'zee's gentle shake. Bandit cheeped at him. "Huh, what?" he asked, not remembering where he was at the moment. He rubbed his eyes, trying to wake himself more.

Niradene chuckled and said "You know more than me I just know you and Z'dan." Z'dan had found her she remebered that day well she was glad she came even if it had meant leaving everything she knew behind and learning about her fear

V'zee chuckled softly, icy eyes hiding the amusement that his facial expression showed. "'Ow 'boutcha git a bite ta eat then I'll escort ya' to the barracks so ya' can sleep with yer lil' bronze," he said in a friendly manner that made up for his emotionless eyes.

K'ryn nodded sleepily. "Okay," he yawned, not really thinking about food. "Optith just wouldn't go to sleep," he whispered, trying to wake himself up enough to get up and get some food.

L'ney chuckled. "I'll innerduce ya' some," he promised her with a smile.
L'ney
Niradene smiled again and said "I'd like that and i am sure Cam wouled love it also even if she'll try not to be noticed by everyone."
Niradene
L'ney grinned. "She'll be noticed when she don' wanna be most. 'At's how it works," he commented about Cameith.
L'ney
V'zee smiled. "Jus' gitcher self a bite ta eat an' 'en ya' can go sleep with Optith," the bronzerider tried at negotiating with the tired teen.
V'zee

The boy staggered to unsteady feet. He was still half asleep, but he knew V'zee was right. K'ryn slowly made his way over to the food table, but didn't end up getting much. He slid back in his seat with another yawn. Bandit cheeped at him, but he didn't even react.
K'ryn><Bandit
"if i told her that i'd probably sacre her porr thing, that is how i works i wished it worked more for me though sometimes." Niradene said
Niradene
L'ney chuckled. "Why should it work more?" he inquired.
L'ney
Niradene shrugged and siad "don't know but don't mind not being noticed i just wish i could have more friends is all."
Niradene
V'zee smiled as he watched K'ryn head for the food tables. Vikki kept Bandit company by chittering at him about who knew what and trying to introduce him to his Pet, remaining quite cheery. V'zee suppressed a chuckle at K'ryn's tiredness, remembering that he had been one of the few to make it clean through the festivities after Impressing and still be wide awake come the next morning.
V'zee<>Vikki
Bandit gladly traded "gossip" with other flit. The little brown loved meeting new ones. K'ryn soon returned and st down. He seemed a little more awake after eating a bit, but not much. It was obvious that he wasn't going to last long.
K'ryn<>Bandit
L'ney just smiled at that comment. "But it's 'e few friends that're the best an' 'e one's at'll stay by yer side through ev'rythin'," he mentioned, knowing from experience.
L'ney
"So true but so far your my only friend here not that i mind but get just one or two more frinds is what i want." she said
Niradene
After V'zee was pretty certain that the boy had eaten and seemed finished, he got up and took the new bronzerider' s tray. "C'mon, kid. Le's getcha back ta yer lil' bronze," he said, standing up, Vikki chirruping and taking flight long enough to land on his Pet's shoulder carefully. [[Ky, let Annalyra's Precisith know that I'm excorting one of her sleepy charges back to the barracks to make sure he'll make it there okay.]] the bronzer thought out to his little bronze. Kyanath confirmed, then bespoke the WeyrlingMaster' s green politely. {{Mine escorts one of Yours' charges to make sure he'll make it to the barracks safely. Seems to be quite the sleepy one.}}
{{Mine, Kyanath's escorts one of the littles back to the barracks.}} Precisith relayed to Hers. Annalyra looked up at her green's information, seeing the bronzerider and K'ryn and relaxing. She didn't know a whole lot of the man, but he seemed alright in her book, so she wasn't too worried. [[Let me know once he's left the barracks, love,]] she thought back to her green. The shorter the stay, the more at ease she would feel about the quiet rider's presence within the barracks.
V'zee<>Annalyra
Bandit flitted up to K'ryn's shoulder. He didn't want left behind. Besides, he was intrigued by Optith.
K'ryn carefully stood up, having to actually pay attention to where he put his feet down at, he was that tired. "Thank you," he managed to get out without yawning. "For helping me." He hadn't realized that the person helping him was a bronze rider. He was too tired to really pay attention to the shoulder knots.
K'ryn<>Bandit
L'ney grinned and turned to his best friend on his other side. "'Sid, I wancha ta meet Niradene. Think ya' coul' be 'er frien', too?" he asked the new bluerider.
K'sid moved to get a look at Niradene and gave her a smile, eyes friendly since the situation called for it. He made a few hand signals for his friend to interpret which obviosuly made L'ney happy as he turned back to Niradene.
L'ney grinned again. "'Sid says 'e'll be yer frien'. Whacha think?" he asked of her.
K'sid<>L'ney
Niradene looked at the person returning the smile in his eyes with one of her own smiles she nodded and said "I'd be glad to be Sid's friend and thank you Sid." she said
Niradene
"Yer welcome," V'zee replied, turning K'ryn toward the exit of the Cavern and toward his dragonet. He stayed near enough to catch the lad should he lose his balance, but far enough to allow him his personal space. "Tamarrer won't be half so bad," he assured the teen with a smile, dropping his tray off at the bins for the drudges to get to whenever they wished.
V'zee
"Will Optith want to sleep then?" K'ryn asked quietly, hope present in his voice. He didn't mind early hours, but not sleeping was going to get to him after a while. The boy stumbled a couple of times, but thankfully never fell as they made their way toward the barracks.

---
L'bell followed the new weyrlings into the Dining Hall, smiling warmly
at each of them. His eyes were still a little red from the Hatching;
he hadn't realized he'd been crying until near the end of the event.

Shii leaned backwards into the man behind her. "Yeah, it's been a really
long day. Did Kyrith go to sleep up with Shuteth? The poor darling
couldn't stay awake after the last of her hatchlings left. I feel bad
for leaving her but I REALLY needed something to eat."
Marna looked up as others began to enter. She even recongized quite a
few of them. "Laliy! Hey over here! Congradulations! "
S'et too spotted those he knew. "Hey everyone, congradulations! "

K'ryn

L'ney grinned at Niradene's words as well as her blush. "Yer welcome," he answered her cheerily.

Both riders nodded in agreement to Joss's observation.

"That's not a bad thing," T'raren said with a smile. He sometimes wished that he could play something other than the guitar, but he hadn't pursued such and now there was no way he'd be able to for quite a while to come.

Caleke smiled. "Usually if Calbolt's by himself it's because I'm too sick to walk myself to a Healer or that I need something for a wher from a Healer that I can't take the moment to go and get. He's very useful."

I'm Marna."

C'lin grinned. "Thanks, T'raren. Glad to know not everyone thinks I'm strange because I like to learn." He shot J'dan a look.
J'dan grinned and raised his hands. "I surrender."

K'rei nodded. "That is very helpful." He looked up when he heard Keistra. "Hi, Keistra," he smiled, moving down. "Please, have a seat. This is Revee and his brother Caleke. We were talking about their whers."

K'sid was the first up to head for food at the table he sat at, L'ney shortly following, picking up his conversation with Niradene again after Shii's speech.

Joss chuckled as she listened to Z'vik and Z'dan start up again. She watched the weyrlings getting their meals, knowing some of them wouldn't last past the meal.

"Right behind you!" C'lin and J'dan said in unison. They may have been tired, but they definitely weren't ready to give in yet. They followed G'tee and T'raren up to get food.

Laliy and Kiyoni quietly got up with Marna. Neither girl were really in the mood to move much. they were both pretty tired.

L'ney smiled in forgiveness. "It's okay." He grinned at her compliment, but refrained from starting up flirting, having remembered something about relationships during his classes before Starkith. "Thanks. Yer perty, too," he said.

K'ryn<>Bandit
Niradene chuckled and said "You know more than me I just know you and Z'dan." Z'dan had found her she remebered that day well she was glad she came even if it had meant leaving everything she knew behind and learning about her fear
Niradene
V'zee chuckled softly, icy eyes hiding the amusement that his facial expression showed. "'Ow 'boutcha git a bite ta eat then I'll escort ya' to the barracks so ya' can sleep with yer lil' bronze," he said in a friendly manner that made up for his emotionless eyes.
V'zee

K'ryn nodded sleepily. "Okay," he yawned, not really thinking about food. "Optith just wouldn't go to sleep," he whispered, trying to wake himself up enough to get up and get some food.
K'ryn

L'ney
"So true but so far your my only friend here not that i mind but get just one or two more frinds is what i want." she said
Niradene
After V'zee was pretty certain that the boy had eaten and seemed finished, he got up and took the new bronzerider' s tray. "C'mon, kid. Le's getcha back ta yer lil' bronze," he said, standing up, Vikki chirruping and taking flight long enough to land on his Pet's shoulder carefully. [[Ky, let Annalyra's Precisith know that I'm excorting one of her sleepy charges back to the barracks to make sure he'll make it there okay.]] the bronzer thought out to his little bronze. Kyanath confirmed, then bespoke the WeyrlingMaster' s green politely. {{Mine escorts one of Yours' charges to make sure he'll make it to the barracks safely. Seems to be quite the sleepy one.}}
