Name: K'sid (Kersid)
Name Pronounced: Kay-sid
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Character Type: Weyrling
Rank: Apprentice Healer
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Current Location: Angel's Cove Weyr
Appearance: K'sid is of average height (5'8") and has a somewhat thin build, but beneath darkly tanned skin lies sinewy muscles, so he isn't half as weak as one might think just by his appearance. Hair as dark as a moonless night is woven into a loose plait and falls to his lower back. Midnight blue eyes seem to always be cheery but constantly watchful. The only marks on his skin consist of raised burns forming the crest of his clan on his left forearm and a rough scar beneath his jaw towards the right side of his neck. He wears black or dark blue clothing, his tunic loose and the top half left untied, his pants wherhide and comfortable, showing signs of wear from hard work. IF he wears shoes, they are soft-soled boots that only reach halfway to his knees and are black like his pants. The only jewelry he wears is a leather string around his neck that holds a small pouch of medicinal herbs and a snug band of black and white about his left wrist. As for
weapons, he sports a boot knife, a belt knife on his left side, and a dagger on his right and can be found carrying a bow and arrows or even a spear for hunting.
Personality: K'sid is quite the happy teen despite one factor: he rarely utters a word, due to an injury in his younger turns. But, disability aside, he can still communicate by using his hands and body language. Like most Raiders, he couldn't read or write when he came to the Weyr, but now he has passable literacy and is still working on it, gaining understanding quite quickly. He has a patience that can only be tripped when picked on about his lack of voice and if someone he knows is being hassled by another, making him seem a tad protective of those he cares for. He is quick, agile, and silent on his feet, giving him an edge when fighting or when he wishes not to be noticed. His sight is distanced and has been since birth. His sense of smell has been poor since his injury that nearly claimed his life.
History: Born in the Wilds of Angel's Cove territory in the dead of winter, Kersid was a quiet child but plenty healthy. As he grew, he grew a bit more talkative, eyes ever watchful of things around him. He learned by watching others and took a strong interest in another lad of the clan: Lawney, who had a stutter in his speech. He had no problem with the other's speech problem.
At 13, Kersid attended his first raid, him and Lawney put on scout duty for their fellows. The raid was successful with the exception that Kersid was taken captive. Before the others could get to him to free him, his throat was slit in an attempt to end his life, but the cut had missed the precious artery and Kersid was barely alive when he was taken back to his clan. When he woke several days later, he could barely talk.
In the turn that followed, Kersid's speech only worsened the more he tried to get it back again so he basically gave up trying and looked to other ways to communicate, soon finding hand signals and body language that his best friend helped him with. Their signs became helpful in raids and such so the whole clan learned them.
At 15, he was marked as an official scout by receiving the Clan's crest on his dominant forearm for helping another Clan member in an ill-fated raid. If it hadn't been for his distant sight, most of their party would have never returned. He took an interest in his mother's craft and picked up many ways to help and heal others and has used such skills numerous times.
He also took an interest in the ladies at 17 and courted Lawney's sister for nearly a turn before another won her affections and left him alone once more. Since then, his courtships have been short-lived and he doesn't get as close as he used to.
At 19, Kersid and Lawney had found a flit nest and returned to their clan with their new pets. Several moons later, a dragon altered both their plans and Searched them both for Angel's Cove Weyr's first clutch.
And the impending Hatching came and went and Kersid was knocked over by the last unimpressed dragonet, a little dark blue that called him K'sid...
Family: Mother-Linsida (Healer) - 39 - Angel's Cove Wilds, Father-Kerden (Raider Clan Leader) - 40 - Angel's Cove Wilds, Siblings-Linden (Raider Clan Guard) - 22, Linker (Healer) - 21
Misc./Random Facts: K'sid can sometimes be found marking images into rock or bark or even stone just for the fun of it and his images are near perfect copies. He'd make a very good artist IF he were to pursue such a talent. And he can also be found, practicing his fighting skills.

Dragon Information:
Dragon Name: Jonnth
Dragon Color: Blue
Dragon Age: Just Hatched
Flight Wing(this is chosen by the BoD):
Appearance: Jonnth is quite small for a blue, but very streamlined. He's long and leanly built, his tail longer than it should be and his wings a bit long as well, but of the right width for his body. Such a dark blue that he appears nearly black in most lights, he could easily hide in the shadows. Even the dark greenish tint to his sides and ridges helps him to blend into the darkness. His claws, too, have a dark greenish tint to them.
Personality: Hatched from the Shades of Purple Egg, Jonnth is nothing like his shell, save for the darkness of a few of its shades. And talk about a cynical dragon, this little blue disagrees with everything everyone has to say. Jonnth will always have an answer to everything and to him everyone else is always wrong; even gold dragons. When people ask him to do anything, he wonders why, and if he doesn't like the answer, he won't do the thing he was asked to. When people try and help him, he tends to think they want something from him. This little blue always looks for the worst in people and doesn't think anyone can do anything right. There is only one exception to this; his Mine. His lifemate will have his hands full with this little dragonet. He's quick witted and agile. And strangely enough, he often goes out of his way when dealing with children. Despite his nature, this blue loves children and will only show patience when near them. His lifemate
will need to be on the lookout or Jonnth may just bring a random child home with him. Jonnth's rather prickly personality will land him in trouble more often than not and his lifemate will have to learn to reign him in.
Abilites and Weaknesses: He's small, placing him at a disadvantage with the others, but his quick wit and agility will more than make up for that.

Pets Information:
Number of pets: 1
Pet 1 Type: Green Firelizard
Pet 1 Name: River
Appearance: River is a dark murky green color with pale ridges, claws, and wing membranes. She's quite tiny and holds one wing differently from the other and it hampers her ability to fly slightly, making her flights short more often than not.
Personality: Still a bit young, but calm, she can be aggressive and tempermental over food or anything that happens to be in her way to it. Other than that, she's a fairly pleasant little green.
