--I know this one's a bit late and I do apologize...--
The dragonets had been moving right along in their developement and their riders had been adjusting very well to their daily duties that change here and again. For this lesson, she was short one Weyrling: Gunteera and her golden Lulith for Lulith wouldn't be allowed to do the activity that was to happen today. Instead the pair were in the care of Shii to be introduced to the flame thrower and its properties.
And so, with 20 sacks of soft firestone of various sizes nearby herself and Precisth, she bespoke her dragon. "Call them, love," the rider spoke out loud to her lifemate and so, Precisith did: {{Come along littles! Today's lesson is very different.}} the large green broadcast to the Weyrlings.

Zyurth looked up from his investigation of K'lar's bucket of washing things at Precisith's call. {{Lesson time, Mine. Precisith says it'll be different!}} the young bronze said as excitement started to grow.
Visageth's nose flew from his curious studying of his shining claws, causing him to stagger briefly to right himself from the lean he had caused. {{Mine, Lesson time!}} he said cheerily, starting off without waiting for an answer for the Lesson place.
Mihelith looked up at His from the careful oiling Tia'ar was currently doing. {{Lesson time.}} he said calmly and started off after his brothers with Theirs in tow.
Eteinth looked up from playing 'catch' with His and Irohidth's littles, enjoying the quiet while His finished oiling his wonderful hide. {{A very different Lesson is in store for today, Precisith says.}} he relayed cheerily, nosing at His.
Irohidth grumbled at the call, but relayed the information and got to his feet. {{G'tee-Mine, a different Lesson today.}}
Starkith and Jonnth lay side by side, hides glistening from the very recent oiling Theirs had given them, both watching Theirs sparring while the cousins hopped about near a pile of rocks. {{Lesson time, Mine.}} Starkith bespoke His as Jonnth did likewise with His. {{K'sid-Mine, Lesson time and the big green one says it will be different.}}
Dawnuth started at the call, causing Hers to smear numbweed a bit further than intended on a cut the little green had somehow gotten the day. {{The big one calls, Rayra-Mine. She says a different Lesson is for today.}} she relayed quietly.

Reedith looked up from his studying of his tail and said {{another lesson mine and she says this one is different..i wonder how, let's go find out}} he said standing up Sherly smiled and followed her blue.
Cameith had been resting peacefully in a very quiet and sunny spot of the barracks {{mine another lesson and she says it will be different}} the green relayed strecthing and nuzzling Hers. Niradene smiled pating her green as they stood and made teir way to the lesson

Seerowth and Claudith were playing a sort of tag while C'lin and J'dan were looking at their notest from the previous lesson. Both boys wanted to make sure they had it all down right. Trig was bouncing around the table, making it hard to read.
}:Lessons!:{ both browns said happily. };Precisith says it will be different,:[ Seerowth added.
Optith had been watching some of his brothers and sisters. Since he hatched he had always liked watching over his clutch mates. K'ryn was leaning against him enjoying a nap, with Bandit curled up on his stomach. }:K'ryn, lessons,:{Optith said, nuzzling his rider. }:We must go.:{
Hebertinth was sleeping peacefully beside Laliy with Shiver curled up on her back. Laliy was studying her riding straps, making sure all was in order just in case they had another lesson on that. The green opened one eye irritably. }:The big green says we have lessons. This one is different from the rest,:{ she said, reluctantly standing up.
Kiyoni was oiling Elliwodth's hide down by the lake, so they didn't have far to go when Precisith called. Elliwodth was a little upset to have her oiling interrupted, but then again, she couldn't wait to see everyone again.

O`rn looked up from his music scrolls when His told him of the next lesson. "Ok then, let's go," he grunted as he stood and began to roll up his scrolls. Tohanath was still small for a sixth month old, but to O`rn she was the most beautiful green on Pern. Her hide had actually begun to change color from the soft emerald green to that of a slightly lighter jade green with dark spots dotting her hide instead of the other way around it used to be.
What will our lesson be this time? she asked as they walked from the patch of trees, her head now passe dhis shoulders and eyes a deep blue, whirling in contentment. O`rn shrugged. "Don't know, but we'll find out. You did say Precisth said it'd be different so..." he shrugged and waved at a fellow Weyrling.
***
On the other hand, Manxith had become huge, incompaison to her sister, already her head was well past Velina's and with that she had to be much more careful on how she turned and moved, having knocked the young woman in the back more then once.
Come, Mine. Time for a lesson,[/i] she chirped merrily before nudging Hers. The young woman looked up from her mending and nodded. After making sure the needle was secure in her disgarded tunic she bundled it up and tucked it under her arm as they made their way over to meet the other Weyrlings for the lesson. Upon sighting O`rn she smiled and waved. "Gotten any better at tossing that firestone?"
O`rn looked towards Velina and flushed softly. "A little, my arms are still a bit sore but I think I'm getting better."

As the Weyrlings gathered, Annalyra smiled at their usual promptness and even that of their sizes. They were all growing very well and holding their riders nicely for their ground drills. And even the firestone tossing was going well, all of them having managed to now throw sacks of actual firestone filled to the right amounts for the riders to give to their dragons. Once all had come, she got their attention with a smile, the ever present firestone sacks giving way to a newer kind of Lesson. "Lately, we've been concentrating most of our Lessons on firestone and our dragons' anatomies. We've even begun exercises about that second stomach of theirs which will produce gases that will turn to flame when firestone is chewed. Today, we're going to actually flame." She knew excitement and fear would come of the Lesson's objective and so continued on to drown out any problems of adolecent chaos. "Now, this Lesson is to be met with very careful attention because we needn't have any burns from accidental flames. Your dragonets are only going to chew enough firestone to only hiccup a bit of flame, but we are still meeting this Lesson with every precaution we can." She motioned to a pair of Healers nearby as she spoke her next words, "We have Healers on hand just in case, but I really don't want to have to call on them. So if everyone will put their utmost concentration and attention to this Lesson, we'll get through it very well."
"Are there any questions or even concerns before we proceed?" the WeyrlingMaster inquired to let reactions happen.

K'ryn stared in disbelief. They were going to learn how to flame? Optith sat proudly beside him. The bronze wasn't worried at all.
Seerowth and Claudith looked at each other. Both C'lin and J'dan were excited but nervous at the same time.
Laliy lifted her hand as Hebertinth moved closer to her. "What about the greens that are much smaller? Will this harm them at all?"
Kiyoni perked up to listen. Elliwodth definitely wasn't the biggest green around. Elliwodth sat up straighter. };Won't we look lovely when flaming?:[
Kiyoni frowned slightly. **Of course you will dear.**

Reedith and Sherly were very excited {{'bout time we learned this i have been waiting so long to do this}} he said. Sherly smiled at her blue's enthusiasm and love of learning. {me too Reed}
cameith was unconcerend she was one of the bigger greens in the clutch though that fact made her feel self concious {{i hope we this okay mine i don't want attention on us}} {we'll do fine Cam no worries} Niradene said patting her green.

"None of this will harm them. The worst I've attempting at predicting is a few stomach aches from sending the firestone to the wrong stomach, but evrything will be fine and safe, I assure you," Annalyra replied, looking for any more questions.

Laliy breathed a sigh of relief as she scratched Hebertinth's eye ridge. She didn't even want to think about something happening to her dear green. A stomach ache she could deal with.

Reedith was eager to get going wishing she'd release them already so they could start, Sherly patted her blue letting him know they'd start soon.
Cameith was the quiet picture of patience she knew they would start soon and was in no hurry of course she worried about messing up or being too good but that was her nature. Niradene scratched her green she too an equal picture of patience

After seeing no more questions, save for a stray comment from M'kan that made several others laugh, Annalyra began the Lesson. "Alright, I want one at a time to come up, starting with the bronzes and working our way down to the greens. Only one hiccuping flame is it at a time. So, K'ryn and Optith?"
Once the pair had stepped forward, the WeyrlingMaster gave the young rider a piece of firestone and explained how it was going to go. "Now, once you're both thinking of Optith's other stomach, go ahead and let him chew the firestone. Stand to the side there. His belch will come naturally."

K'ryn and Optith stepped forward. Optith was ready to try anything, but K'ryn was a bit nervous yet. He accepted the firestone from Annalyra and nodded. **Ready?**
}:Always, brother,:{ Optith replied.
They both concertrated on the bronze's second stomach and K'ryn fed him the firestone. K'ryn waited in quiet worry as Optith chewed. The dragonet soon hiccuped and flames came from his mouth. K'ryn couldn't help but laugh at the surprised look on his bronze's face.

Annalyra smiled at the expression on the young bronze's face. To think that that was coming from him was probably quite a surprise at the moment. "Good job, but wait. Optith may have another hiccup or two. Ask him if that stomach of his is settled ye or still feels funny." she asked of the Weyrling. She wasn't going to allow him to turn unil he was through of his bit of flame.

K'ryn smiled, gald that they had done alright. **How do you feel, Optith?** The bronze thought for a minute. }:I still feel funny,:[ he answered, just before he hiccuped again. }:Now I feel better.:[
K'ryn laughed and looked over at Annalyra. "He says he feels better now."

Annalyra smiled as Optith demonstrated the "extra" hiccup or two that she was being cautious of. "Very good. You two may step back now." The WeyrlingMaster turned to the others and spoke of K'ryn and Optith's demonstration. "Flaming is very dangerous and the reason I asked K'ryn how his dragonet felt was because of that extra little bit you just saw. No one is to turn round until I give the okay to do so. That way, we ensure that we'll have no accidental flamings. Any questions?"

K'ryn nodded and him and Optith slipped back into the group. Optith sat proudly beside K'ryn. It had been srange, but flaming seemed fun as well.

After seeing no more questions, Annalyra called up the next pair.
Starkith did very well despite his wandering mind toward the ladies. It was L'ney's sureness that kept him on task and the surprise and pride the bronze felt all at once after his hiccup of flame. He had no funny feeling and so had only produced one spout for the Lesson.
Eteinth was a bit odd in his behavior. He tried to stand as still as possible as he concentrated on that other stomach of his. The one that was always hungry for something other than meat. With more of a belch, he expelled his flame and a second tiny little hiccup of a cloud of smoke followed before he didn't feel odd anymore.
Zyurth was the comic one. He made a show of investigating the stone before crunching on it ever so slowly as if savoring it, though he couldn't possibly like the taste of it. With wings slightly unfurled, he let out his hiccup of flame in a pitiful, smoky cloud, but there was flame there! {{I did it! I did it! I-}} the bronze coughed once before his belly rumbled at him and he glared at the end of his nose as one more hiccup of flame came from him. {{That was weird. Can I do it again! Please! Please!}} [[No, we'll wait until after everyone else has gone once before we try again.]] {{Okay.}}
Once the bronzes had finished, Annalyra looked to the browns. "J'dan and Claudith, please," she said with an encouraging smile.

Cameith was waiting patiently for her turn watching the bronzes {{come on Claudith oyu can do it}} she called.
From reedith there was the words{{can we go yet mine?}} [no not yet reed we'll go soon enough be patient we have to wait for the browns to get done] sherly told her blue.

Claudith looked over at Cameith. }:I will do my best,:[ he said.
J'dan and Claudith stepped foward. They both concentrated before the brown accepted the firestone. Claudith chewed for a few minutes before he felt funny and hiccuped. A small bit of flame came with a puff of smoke. }:Pardon me,:[ the brown said.
J'dan chuckled at his brown's politeness. "He says he's okay now," the boy said.

Another successful "flame". Annalyra was proud and pleased by her students' obedience. She hoped that things would continue well like they had already been. With a smile toward the brown pair, she said, "Good job. You may go back with the others."
"C'lin and Seerowth, please?"

J'dan smiled proudly as him and Claudith took their places among their classmates again.
Seerowth and C'lin stepped forward. Both had been watching closely and making sure they learned everything they could. Seerowth soon accepted the firestone and chewed. C'lin kept his fingers crossed. Just because they thought they knew what they were doing didn't mean they did.
The brown soon hiccuped and a small flame came from his mouth. c'lin grinned. **How do you feel?**
}:Still funny,:{ Seerowth answered as he hiccuped again. He hiccuped a third time, but this time it was only smoke. }:Much better. Can we try again?:{ C'lin laughed.

A third hiccup...the young brown must have quite the active second stomach to ahve flamed that many times on a first try. Annalyra smiled as she watched the pair, then asked after the smokey hiccup, "How's he feel, C'lin?"

Annalyra smiled and shook her head. That particular pair was rather enjoyable. "Let's let everyone have a try first before we go for a second try, okay?" she inquired politely before continuing. "Very good. You two may return to the group. Tia'ar and Mihelith, please?"
Mihelith calmly walked beside His up to the WeyrlingMaster where both looked to the greenrider expectantly. After concentrating hard, the brown took the firestone and chewed it somewhat longer than one expected. He was very calm. What would you expect? Then came the rumble and the flame, a lengthy flame that touched the stone they were all facing before it tapered off to a bit of smoke. Mihelith raised his head in pride. {{I don't feel funny or odd at all,}} he told His, gaining a smile from the teen. "He says he doesn't feel funny or odd at all," Tia'ar relayed to Annalyra with a smile.
"Very good. Mihelith will be a good Threadfighter with a flame like that for his first attempt," Annalyra said with a smile. "You two may return to the others now. G'tee and Irohidth?"
Irohidth stalked up to the menacing bag of firestone with a glare. That stuff made His hurt not so long ago. Well, it was muscle strain on the poor lad, but nothing in the range of permanent damage. He was just small yet for his age. He would grow into a fine young rider. After grinding the stone into a pulp, he spit it out just as quickly, resulting in a puff of smoke and a rather uncontrolled burst of flame that spewed outwards more than it did forward. {{Yuck! Evil stuff! It hurt you, G'tee-Mine.}} he said in response to his aggressiveness. G'tee smiled. [[That's what you're supposed to do with firestone.]] the Weyrling rider thought back. [[Do you feel odd at all.]] {{Nope! All gone!}} Irohidth replied matter-of-factly. "He says it's all one," G'tee relayed.
Annalyra smiled. "Head on back, then. We'll work on that control there at a later point. Very good job, though. Sherly and Reedith, please?"

Reedith was glad when *finally* got his turn to try {{hmm interesting taste, interesting texture}} the blue said taking his time while thinking of his second stomach, Sherly rolled her eyes. Soon though flame appeared from the blue, it was a nice flame pretty good for a blue in fact {anything else reed?} she asked Reedith paused from looking proud and said {{one more i think}} and let lose one more smaller flame.

Annalyra smiled. "Wonderful. You two may go back with the rest. K'sid and Jonnth, please."
Jonnth sauntered on up alongside his chosen to the firestone sacks and stared at the stone His went to hand to him. After a long moment of arguement between rider and dragonet, the dark blue finally thought of his "fire stomach" and took the stone with a grimace. He didn't want to do this at all! But the first light belch changed that entirely. {{Wow!}} the blue exclaimed in surprise, staring at where his bit of flame had just been. {{Again!}} he said cheerily. That was neat! And he did spit out aother bit and one more attempt left nothing but smoke. He looked for more after that, but His refused, saying they had to wait until the rest had tried once before they could go again. {{Mine says to tell you I feel fine.}} the blue sent to Precisith at His' request.
Precisith passed the message on to Hers of the quiet one's harshly echoed words. Annalyra nodded with a smile. "You may return to the others. Very well done, Jonnth," she said to the pair with a smile.
And Jonnth happily returned to the others at a prance.
"M'kan and Visageth?" Annalyra called up next.
Visageth was ready to go, prancing up to the place he needed to stand and curiously investigating the whole of the stone in His' hand while he thought of his other stomach. He stuck his tongue out to lick it, sniffing at it again while he determined the taste curiously. {{Don't taste too good.}} he commented to His with a snort. M'kan grinned. [[You're supposed to chew it, swallow it to your other stomach, and spit it out as flame.]] he thought back to his dragonet. After a few more moments, Visageth took the stone and chewed it thoughtfully before deciding to get the swallowing and spitting out over with. And what a flame came from his mouth at his surprised. He stood there, staring, surprise whirling in his jeweled eyes at where his flame had just been. After a long moment, he bobbed his head. {{Wow!}} was all the investigator could say. [[All done? Nothing left in your belly?]] M'kan asked. Visageth crooned. {{Nope, nothing left. Wow!}} the blue was obviously still awed at his accomplishment. "He's fine, ma'am," the rider said to his instructor with a smile.
"Very well done. You may return to the others," Annalyra said, glad that the Lesson was going VERY well. "S'et and Realerth, please?"
After S'et and Realerth had gone, Annalyra called for Marna and Walweth.
Once they'd finished, she started with her greenriders. "Laily and Herbertinth, please?"

Hebertinth looked up at Laliy. Laliy smiled and walked up to the firestone pile. The green sniffed at the firestone. }:I don't want to do this,:[ she grumbled.
Laliy smiled in sympathy. **If you cooperate we can go back sooner,** the girl pointed out. **And maybe I can even talk Shiver into helping oil you.**
the moody green finally complied and accepted the stone from Laliy. She chewed for a few seconds before belching out a flame that surprised her. She looked up at Laliy, but then hiccuped once more, producing a flame that was just a bit smaller then the first. }:Done,:{ she said.
Laliy looked over at Annalrya. "She says she's done," the girl relayed for her dragon.
